A Reidsville man was arrested Saturday after utility workers trying to restore power after Friday’s storm reported a man was cursing at them.

The workers told Rockingham County authorities that a man driving a minivan also threw tree limbs in the road and made obscene gestures, according to a news release. The incident occurred about 9:18 a.m. Saturday on Ashley Loop near N.C. 87.

The workers gave the van’s license plate to a deputy, who later found the vehicle. The man told the deputy he was frustrated that he did not have power, according to the release.

James Rex Nidiffer, 49, of 8953 N.C. 87 was charged with being intoxicated and disruptive, a misdemeanor.
