DALLAS (AP) — AT&T Inc. reached a tentative agreement with a union representing about 30,000 workers in the Southeast, the company said Monday.

The union had voted down a previous agreement reached with negotiators in December, AT&T said. The new three-year agreement will be submitted to the membership of the union for a ratification vote in the coming days.

The new contract includes pay and pengion increases over each of the three years of the new contract, lower health care premiums and cash payouts for the company's financial performance.

The union is the Communications Workers of America's District 3, which covers Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
