The snow and rain have prompted the postponement of some of Greensboro’s Friday night arts and entertainment events.

The Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art has postponed Friday night’s opening reception for its Embodiment exhibition. The exhibit will open to the public on Tuesday. The reception will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. March 5.
At UNCG, the Weatherspoon Art Museum has postponed Friday night’s opening reception and artist’s talk for the Leonardo Drew exhibition. It will be rescheduled for March 19. The museum is expected to open from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, and the exhibition itself will open then. Call 334-5770 to confirm.
Triad Stage has rescheduled for March 5 its planned Friday night race, “Around Downtown in 80 Minutes,” modeled after TV’s “The Amazing Race.” Teams who have already registered are reserved for the new March 5 date. New teams can register online at www.triadstage.org.

The Greensboro Blues Festival concert scheduled for Friday night at the Greensboro Coliseum has been rescheduled for April 2. Tickets for Friday’s concert will be honored at the rescheduled date. Patrons unable to attend the rescheduled date may obtain a refund at their respective point of purchase.
On Sunday, however, the Philharmonia of Greensboro still plans to hold its Pillow Pops Concert at 2 p.m. in Room 100 of the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. The theme is “Animals Who Love Music.” Admission is free. Call 373-2549 for information or inclement weather announcements.
