Snap-shooting neighbor needs to find new hobby

Concerning Lorraine Ahearn’s story, “Welcome to the neighborhood: See you in court” (Jan. 31), about a man who has taken dozens of photos of his neighbors’ home and filed two lawsuits against them:
Mr. Mattieu, you need to take up fishing! Apparently you have no other hobby other than to harass your neighbors. What you are doing is totally ludicrous. Get with the program!
From reading the article and the responses by other neighbors, I would love to have a family such as the Millers as my neighbors.
I could understand it if their property was unkempt and cluttered. If you want to take photos, we have a neighbor down the street who still has Halloween and Christmas decorations up, not to mention other junk.
Don’t give in to this guy, Millers. I am pulling for you.

Sounded to me like what he/they need is a life. Obsession is unhealthy.

HOA associations empower friendless little tyrants who have nothing left in life but a nagging wife and squatty little dog.

How sad to drive a family away from their dream? Mr. Mattieu, did you ever have a dream to have a nice home for your young family? Did you have a crotchety old man watching your every move? Whatever will you do with out the Millers to harass anymore? They may have to sell at a loss to get away from you... what will that do to your property value?

Not to mention the property values of the entire neighborhood! Who would want to buy a home in a neighborhood knowing there is a convicted stalker living there, who might next turn his attention toward them for some imaginary infraction?

I'm sure he will now sue the neighbors that were interviewed as well. Maybe the rest of the neighborhood too! I just can't believe that he has been getting away with this for so long. I really think he should leave the kids out of it all together. Besides, providing for them is all that Mr. Miller has been doing for the last 17 years, so why is this guy trying to take that away from you. I'm sure he is not as white as the driven snow either. Everyone has skeletons... Maybe his is a mental ward!
