Conundrum

I hope that I am wrong with this, but, I think that JMW is suggesting that Memphis has a garbage strike and the same fate meets an African American man who chooses to intervene. I will let you decide who he is talking about. I also think that unless he provides a good explanation for his comment, that it needs to be reported.

If your interpretation is correct, that post is offensive. Rather than "reporting" I would rather see this pathology and who salutes it. I vigorously disagree with Obama's policies and ideology but I wish him no ill will. A fundamental value of our country is the debate over policy, ideas and the peaceful pendulum transfer of power associated with it.

MLK was a great American whose non-violent civil disobedience accomplished what was necessary and right. His Letter from a Birmingham Jail is an eloquent exposition of principles that make our nation great.

jgalt! jgalt! jgalt! Applause! Applause! Applause! I agree -- agree --agree -- with your very intelligent comment above! Now, I know for sure that you're not "all bad" -- just "part bad" -- or something like that! Seriously.

I'm glad you now vigorously disagree with Obama's policies and ideology.

No Conundrum, I'm saying that the common man is being left out. It would take piles of trash in the streets before we're noticed. Sheesh...

I interpreted it the same way you did conundrum and I wish no physical harm on our govt. officials. I pray the Secret Service watches over Messieurs Obama & Biden for the remainder of their 3 years in office. Look who is 3rd in line, at least till next January.

Nah, the thought of a Pelosi "presidebtsy" is indeed a very scary concept. Glad you agree there will only be 3 years of Obama/Biden.

You are still a AH.

I would use "an" before an vowel, you got that right this time, kudos monsieur Colin. I guess the Superbowl was boring or was Mrs. Colin watching something else?

Great column on AT today about the progressives. http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/02/obama_freud_and_the_american_p.ht...

"...President Obama declared his desire to 'fundamentally transform the United States of America'. But why? An emotionally stable man in love with a woman does not wish to 'fundamentally transform' her. Yet our President would have us believe that when the object of his love is his country, he has license to remake his loved one into something he'd really love--really". By a guy named Chuck Rogers, never heard of him before.

The next paragraph begins (and continues) "Remaking countries into shadows of their former selves is nothing new"..... Interesting discussion. I'm going to see what else he has written.

Obama,is helping the economy, they just took 383 thousands stimulus dollars, to send a bunch of Obama supporters to Hollywood to take a class. School teachers and office folks in Georgia.
Seems to have been missed by liberal newspapers and tv.
Of course if you do not read the Drudge Report, are watch Fox, are listen to a conservative radio station, you would have never know that.

rush-palin2012

February 7, 2010 - 7:02 am EST

That's nothing. I heard they're spending 1.3 million 'stimulus' dollars to propagate the muslim agenda in Detroit, Michigan.

hugh

February 7, 2010 - 9:02 am EST

What about the millions spent to send US politicos to Copenhagen over the fraudulent change crap?

Sawdust

February 7, 2010 - 7:30 am EST

Doug; I strongly suspect that they spent more time enjoying the amenities of the spa than going to any class. Did you catch the Dekalb County school superintendent trying to explain how sending school employees to a Hollywood spa was really creating jobs? He sounded like B-plus without his teleprompters.

Ms. Wonce, I do not expect to see President Obama recieive any help from Congressional Republicans -- none -- and deficit fearmongering has become a key part of Republican political strategy! Yes it has! Seriously.

danagain

February 7, 2010 - 7:47 am EST

"...and deficit fearmongering has become a key part of Republican political strategy!"

Obama himself stated that the federal govt. will run deficits for the next ten years. Is he part of the fear mongering cabal?

Conundrum

February 7, 2010 - 8:47 am EST

"The debt by 1988 totaled $2.6 trillion. In those eight years, the United States moved from being the world's largest international creditor to the largest debtor nation." This is a quote on the Reagan years. It seems that you Republicans are very selective in your outrage. Your outrage grows when you are not in office and it lessens when one of your own is driving the country into the ground. Very hypocritical wouldn't you say?

JGALT

February 7, 2010 - 8:49 am EST

If some is bad more is worse--no? Obama is more.

So we can assume your outrage is lessened, now that your man is driving us deeper and deeper in debt?
