Have you been thinking about changing careers but knew you needed training to get there? Well, Rockingham Community College is offering help to those interested in customer relations, warehouse technician and nursing assistant jobs through the federally funded JobsNOW program. An information session will be held tonight to answer all your questions.

The Used Book Store in Mayodan is open every weekend and provides great prices on gently used books, magazines and the like. Starting this weekend, the store will offer an additional 25 percent discount on your total purchase the first weekend of every month. So if you are in the market for some new reading material, head over and reap the benefits.

And the Fine Arts Festival Association of Rockingham County presents Wine & Dine 2010 Friday night at Oak Hills Golf and Events Center, which is the former Meadow Greens Country Club in Eden. This annual event funds the festival that will be held July 11-18 at Rockingham Community College. Enjoy an evening of wine, food and art with a Greek flair. Tickets are still available, so call today.
