Oak Ridge Elementary tours set for Saturday

OAK RIDGE – Tours and information sessions for the reopening of Oak Ridge Elementary School have been set for this Saturday.
The times are as follows:
- Pre-K and Kindergarten from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
- First grade from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
- Second grade from 11 to 11:45 a.m.
- Third grade from 1 to 1:45 p.m.
- Fourth grade from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
- Fifth grade from 3 to 3:45 p.m.
The school, which closed due to concerns about mold and unexplained illnesses last year, is scheduled to reopen on Feb. 22.
The district has earmarked nearly $1.6 million since 2008 to address the problems. The figure includes a proposal to transfer $550,000 available from previous bond projects to Oak Ridge.
