OAK RIDGE -- An open house at Oak Ridge Elementary for parents and community members scheduled for this weekend is postponed. The open house was planned for Sunday but school district officials announced today they are postponing the event until Saturday, Feb. 6.
Officials say the new date will allow a representative from Turner Building Science and Design to attend the meeting. The Turner firm inspected the school with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health last summer which Superintendent Maurice “Mo” Green to close the school while mold remediation and other repair work was conducted at the school.
Turner oversaw the planning and execution of that work.
Times to tour the school have not been finalized.
