Foxx to run again for Congress

(Updated 2:47 pm)

Rep. Virginia Foxx said today she will run for re-election for North Carolina's Fifth Congressional District.

Foxx, a Republican from Banner Elk, has represented the district in Congress since 2005.

"Washington needs a strong dose of North Carolina common sense," Foxx stated in a news release. "North Carolinians are looking for someone who will stand up to the big-spending ways of Washington and who will offer solutions that solve problems without growing government and creating debt. As a small-government conservative, I have a proven track record of fighting to preserve freedom and keep big government at bay."

Brad Miller has got to go, Kaye Hagan has got to go both pander entirely too much to illegal immigrants. Foxx does stand a chance. She's done fairly well on the illegal immigrant issues. We get rid of the folks that add to the illegal immigration problem and we can start cleaning house. We've lost too many jobs, overcrowding of schools, hospitals, rampant crime, drugs everywhere. It's going to take awhile to clean this mess up. A good start would be voting Miller/Hagan out of office. We could solve about half our problems if we get the illegals back to their homes in their countries.

All of us are illegals. It's just some of you think you are entitled to everthing including this country. You talk about a good start but I think the best start is to send Foxx back the hills where she belongs.

Im not in her district, thank God, but Foxx needs to be sent home and FAR away from Washington. She was one who voted against and held up unemployment benefits to millions of folks who needed it bad. In my district, we have Coble, who lives in the past and should have been put out in the pasture years ago. NC needs new faces and new ideas, so I hope everyone will join me in Nov and vote against anyone currently in office and replace them with people who will fight and represent the citizens who out them there.
