About 1.21 percent of the area's housing units received a foreclosure notice in 2009, below the national average of 2.21. The Greensboro-High Point figure was down 3.89 percent from 2008 but up 22.39 percent from 2007.
A total of 3,782 area properties had at least one foreclosure filing entered into the RealtyTrac database during 2009.
