Some snow could fall in the Triad tonight, though any accumulation is expected to be less than a half inch, according to the National Weather Service in Raleigh.
There is a slight chance of snow after 5 p.m. The chance of snow increases between 8 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday.
Locations west of U.S. 1 are likely to see just a dusting while areas east of U.S. will see amounts approaching one inch.
The snow could impact the morning commute on Friday.
Another blast of arctic air will hit the Triad Friday afternoon and linger over the area through the weekend. Early morning temperatures will dip into the teens with highs around 30 to 35 degrees.
