GREENSBORO — A 17-year-old boy was arrested today, two days after a girl was shot in the throat outside a community center.
Greensboro police said Reginald Daquan Washington was arrested Tuesday morning at his home at 3616 Barclay St. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and is being held in the Guilford County jail on a $40,000 bond.
The victim, 16-year-old DeShaun Jandi Harrington, remains in stable condition at Moses Cone Hospital.
The shooting happened about 1 a.m. Sunday outside the East White Oak Recreation Center at 1801 10th St. The center was being used for a private party when the shooting took place.
Police do not have a motive for the incident.
