Guilford County's Most Wanted: Top 10

Since February 2008, News & Record readers have helped authorities catch more than 140 of more than 200 wanted suspects featured each Monday in the Guilford County’s Most Wanted column. At year’s end, authorities consider these 10 suspects who are still wanted to be the worst of the worst.

As always, don’t attempt to apprehend the suspect, but contact law enforcement. If you know the whereabouts of one of these suspects, call Guilford Metro 911 at 373-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.

Crime Stoppers callers remain anonymous and eligible for cash rewards.

Jesus Rosales, 45

Wanted by Greensboro police on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, felonious restraint and kidnapping.

Officers say on Sept. 17, 2007, they went to 3501 Friendly Acres Drive on a stabbing call to find a woman stabbed in the leg.

The victim said her ex-boyfriend, Rosales, forced her into his vehicle at knife point and refused to let her go for an extended time before he stabbed her. He is also wanted on charges of assault by strangulation and numerous misdemeanors.

Description: Hispanic, 5 foot 7, 196 pounds, black hair, brown eyes. Last known address is 1711-C Fairfax Road, Greensboro.

Carl Reynolds Hope, 20

Wanted by Greensboro police on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Officers say on May 25, they went to 1003 Arbor Drive on a shooting call. They found a man with a gunshot wound to the base of his throat.

A juvenile was arrested and charged in the crime May 26. Police believe Hope was present when the shooting occurred and they brought the assault with a deadly weapon charge.

Description: Black, 5 foot 10, 140 pounds, black hair, brown eyes. Last known address is 1003 Arbor Drive, Apt. K.

Christopher Lee Fulp, 30

Wanted by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Deputies say that on Jan. 16, 2005, Fulp shot Jose Alaniz-Morales numerous times in the parking lot of the Bi-Rite store at 8632 U.S. 158 in Stokesdale.

Fulp is believed to have driven a vehicle up to Alaniz-Morales, who was talking on a pay phone, rolled his window down and opened fire. Alaniz-Morales was able to drive himself home and dial 911. He was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Description: 6 foot 2, 185 pounds. Last known address was 7370 Plunkett Road in Belews Creek.

Marcelo Ysrael Perez, 24

Wanted by Greensboro police on an attempted first-degree murder charge.

Perez, a validated member of the Latin Kings gang, is one of three people charged in connection with the April 4, 2008, shooting of Rojelio Lopez, 25.

Lopez was shot in the right arm and right chest with a shotgun, police say.

Police say Perez, Samuel Velaquez and Silvia Lopez-Lugo shot Lopez at Maplewood Apartments in southwest Greensboro. Velaquez and Lopez-Lugo have been arrested.

Perez’s address is unknown. He has known connections to Greensboro, Hickory and Charlotte.

Description: Hispanic, 5 foot 7, 160 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, large mole on right cheek.

Nicholas Flores, 27

Wanted on a first-degree murder charge.

Guilford County deputies say Flores, whose address is unknown, is wanted in connection with the shooting death of Jaime DeHoyos. Deputies found DeHoyos dead Sept. 14, 2007, in a trailer at Autumn Forest Mobile Home Park in Browns Summit. A caller to 911 had reported a shooting there.

Description: White, 5 foot 5 and 145 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of an eagle on his right arm.

Horacio Mondragon, 36

Wanted by Greensboro police on charges of second-degree rape, statutory rape and indecent liberties with a minor.

Officers say they received a complaint Nov. 24, 2008, from a 15-year-old girl about a sexual assault and rape. She said she was raped by Horacio Mondragon on Nov. 15, 2008.

The teen said Mondragon had abused her since she was 5 years old and she didn’t report the abuse over fear for her safety.

Description: Hispanic, 5 foot 6, 200 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. Known to drive a 1998 black Chevrolet Camaro, N.C. plate, XST-5021. Last known address is 15-C Village Lane.

William Faucette, 31

Wanted by Greensboro police on multiple marijuana-related charges.

Officers say they were called to 4410-A Trinity Ave. on Jan. 21 to assist fire crews at an apartment fire. Officers spoke to fire officials, who said they had seen several green plants, believed to be marijuana, inside the home.

Officers obtained a search warrant. They recovered 40 marijuana plants, marijuana seeds, drug paraphernalia and pills at the home. Officers also recovered a driver’s license and a power bill belonging to Faucette.

Description: White, 6 foot 1, 175 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes. Drives a 1993 Acura Legend LS with N.C. plate YPR-9495.

Robert Copeland Jr., 21

Wanted by police on a statutory rape charge.

Officers went to a Marion Street home on Dec. 31, 2008, about a sexual assault. A girl, then 14, and her parents said that she had sex with Copeland, who was 20 at the time.

Description: Black, 5 foot 8, 190 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, pierced left ear. Last known address is 2502 Fontaine Road, Greensboro.

Sidney Blackwell, 27

Wanted by Greensboro police on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and of resisting, delaying and obstructing police.

Police went to 5002-B Turnbridge Circle in July to serve legal papers to Blackwell. He jumped from a second-story window and ran. Police found a 9 mm gun at his home.

Description: Black man, 6 foot 1, 210 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, tattoo on right side of neck.

James Maurice Barber Jr., 34

Wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and on charges of being a habitual felon.

Police say Barber is a suspect in the April 29, 2005, shooting of Cory Blair, 22, at the Command Post Night Club at 2206 Stamey St.

Description: Black, 6 feet 2, 170 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, tattoos of sun and moon on upper arms. He also has a tattoo of a cross on his back and two clowns on his chest. He is considered armed and dangerous. Last known address is 602 E. 16th St., Winston-Salem.
