— Three siblings were hospitalized after an early-morning fire at a local home.

High Point Fire Marshal Mike Levins said two men suffered burns and smoke inhalation in the fire at 1214 Asheboro St. Both men were treated at High Point Regional Hospital, then later taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A third occupant of the house, their sister, was treated at High Point Regional for smoke inhalation.

Levins identified the brothers as 26-year-old Suman Ranapahelee and 24-year-old Ahuwan Ranapahelee. Their sister, Hema Ranapahelee, is 27.

High Point firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the one-story house when they arrived at about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. No firefighters were hurt.

The fire department is still investigating the cause of the blaze, which caused heavy smoke damage and some fire damage to the home.
