Karl Stewart simply wanted to break a $20 bill, so he bought a lottery ticket.
The Graham man definitely wasn't short-changed. The ticket turned out to be a $100,000 winner.
Stewart bought the Super Monopoly scratch-off ticket heading home from work Friday at the Kangaroo Express on South Main Street in Graham.
Stewart told the North Carolina Education Lottery he plans to put the $68,001 he receives after taxes into savings.
He also plans to get a new four-wheeler.
Since the game was introduced on Dec. 1, Stewart is the second player to claim the top prize.
