There is a threat of snow in the Triad's forecast.
The National Weather Service in Raleigh says there is a chance of snow and rain Friday night into Saturday morning across central North Carolina.
In Greensboro, rain and snow are likely Friday night with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible. The Saturday forecast calls for the same chance of precipitation, with amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
The high temperature on Saturday is expected to be 36 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
