Blogger charged with cyberstalking another blogger
Randolph County deputies have charged a local blogger with cyberstalking another blogger.
Jeff Martin, 49, of 3107 Twin Brooks Drive in Greensboro writes posts for “Vie de Malchance” under the moniker Fecund Stench.
Martin was charged with the misdemeanor in Randolph County, where the complainant, Dr. Mary Johnson, lives. Johnson, an Asheboro pediatrician, writes for the blog “Dr. J’s HouseCalls.” The charge stems from 27 e-mails Martin sent Johnson in a span of one hour Nov. 13.
In a November interview with the News & Record, Martin said that he included Johnson’s address in the e-mails to make her realize that she was vulnerable and to discourage her from attacking Martin and other bloggers on various sites. Johnson declined to comment.
Martin is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 14.
