GREENSBORO — The Greensboro Redevelopment Commission will hold a special meeting Monday to reconsider plans for a South Elm Street redevelopment project.
In October, the commission decided it would seek out a master developer to oversee the redevelopment of the land at South Elm and Lee streets, which was set aside for new housing, offices and retail.
That decision effectively dashed the plans of a Tennessee-based developer and the Ole Asheboro Neighborhood Association, which wanted the city commission to donate 4 acres of land on the site for a hotel.
Now the commission will reconsider the master developer concept at 3 p.m. Monday in the plaza level conference at 300 W. Washington Street, Greensboro.
