I want to thank the man who paid for my groceries on the night before Thanksgiving last year.
This took place at the Harris Teeter on New Garden Road. Last year, I went out after dinner to pick up a few last-minute items for Thanksgiving dinner.
When I went to get my credit card, I realized that I did not have my wallet with me. I brought my groceries over to the customer service so that they could hold them while I went home to get my wallet.
As I was about to leave, the manager came over and told me that my groceries had been paid for by the man behind me in line.
By this time, he had left the store, and I never got the chance to thank him. I want him to know that this random act of kindness brings a smile to my face every time I tell someone about it.
Thank you again, and have a great Thanksgiving!
