95 bats stolen from sporting goods store

BURLINGTON — Two men stole nearly 100 softball bats in 3 minutes from a local sporting goods store.

Burlington police said two men broke the front door glass of Burlington Sporting Goods at 2234 Hanford Road at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday. Once they got inside, they took 95 aluminum bats worth an estimated $7,800. The men left in a pickup truck.

Police described the suspects as white men who both stand 6-feet tall. The first is in his mid 20s, weighs 180 pounds and wore a blue jacket, khaki pants and white shoes. The second suspect weighs 170 pounds and wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white shoes.
