Checkpoint nets 11 DWI suspects
GREENSBORO — The Guilford County Sheriff's Office said 11 people were charged with driving while impaired during a checkpoint this weekend.
The "Booze It and Lose It" checkpoint ran from 11 p.m. Friday at 3 a.m. Saturday on East Market Street and Laurel Drive, across the street from N.C. A&T.
Sheriff's deputies and other officers from nearby law enforcement agencies filed these charges:
DWI: 11
Driving while license revoked: 24
No operator’s license: 30
Inspection violation: 2
Registration violations: 19
Other traffic violations: 22
Misdemeanor drug violations: 8
Felony drug violations: 1
Misdemeanor criminal violations: 1
Felony criminal violations: 2
Wanted persons apprehended: 3
