WENTWORTH — A Waynesville consulting group will study the potential for broadband Internet access in Rockingham County, after the Board of Commissioners hired the company on Monday.

The county will pay the company $41,000 to conduct the study and possibly an additional $8,000 to help the county’s Business & Technology Center apply next year for federal stimulus funds to pay for service expansion.
