Davidson man charged with indecent liberties

LEXINGTON — A Davidson County man has been charged in connection with sexual offenses that allegedly happened as far back as 1981.

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office said Niles Lee Tysinger, 61, of 124 Riverwood Road has been charged with eight counts of indecent liberties with a child. Tysinger is being held in the county jail on a $75,000 bond.

The sheriff's office said the two sets of incidents involved two victims and occurred two decades apart.

According to the sheriff's office, the first set of sexual assaults happened between Aug. 10, 1981 and Aug. 9, 1986 in a home on Wofford Road in the county's Southmont area. The victim was a woman who is now 39 years old.

Two other incidents allegedly happened between May 22 and Oct. 22 of this year at Tysinger's Riverwood Road home. The victim in these latter case is a 10 year-old child.

The incidents were reported to the sheriff's office on Oct. 22. Tysinger was arrested Thursday.

The sheriff's office did not identify the victims but said Tysinger is related to both.
