Alleged abuser of dog must get help in prison

It is a good thing that Lashawn Whitehead has been arrested for the abuse of the dog now known as Susie. I can only imagine the crimes he might have committed against his newborn baby had he remained free. He admits that he just “lost it” when the dog jumped on the couch next to the baby.

The dog was too young to know anything, and of course she didn’t intend to harm the baby. Why in God’s name did he have a puppy to raise, whom he obviously hated and neglected, when he was too immature to understand the needs of a dog? I suspect if given enough time he would not understand the needs of an infant or child.

He too is a child, a very immature one, who has needs, and right now he needs to remain locked up for a very long time! Please see that he gets the harshest sentence that there is for the crimes that he admittedly committed. I suspect he can find some of his needs met in prison.

This sounds like Canine profiling and may not be illegal, but certainly is immoral.

Black on black crime is a societal problem.

The dog was a negro?

I believe from the picture in the paper it was a black dog. If it had been a white dog I would be no less disturbed. That however, might be a hate crime under recent legislation.

For a reasonable period of time, Lawshawn Whitehead should be assigned ("sentenced") to a "work-study" program at the Animal Shelter and trained to become a sensitive, domestic animal caregiver!! Seriously.

Are you saying he should be fixed?

Maybe Lawshawn Whitehead can get a job with the Philadelphia Eagles.
