OPINION

Abuser of dog should face harsh punishment

Friday, November 20, 2009
(Updated 3:00 am)

I cannot tell you how happy I was to hear that Lashawn D. Whitehead turned himself in to police for the brutal torture and beating of the innocent puppy Susie. All dogs give us such devotion and unconditional love, which by the way cannot be said for people.

Susie will forgive Whitehead for this heinous crime, but I can’t. For all of us who value every life, his punishment should be as severe as the law allows.

A dude named 'Lashawn' with a dog named 'Susie'?...

Sounds like black rage to me.

Susie was actually the name given to the puppy at the shelter, I believe. Since she was found in the park, nobody would have known her real name.
