HIGH POINT — Police have arrested a 19-year-old man after two men were shot Tuesday afternoon.
High Point police arrested Corderrel Latrice McCoy of 203 N. Hoskins St. on Tuesday night at his home. He is being held in the Guilford County jail in High Point on a bond of $300,000. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
The arrest followed the shooting of two men on Fern Avenue in the Carson South housing project. Police found the two victims in a pickup truck at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday at 400 N. Main St.
A bullet grazed James Gibbs, 40, on the right side of his head. His son, 20-year-old Christopher James Gibbs, was shot three times. He is in good condition today at High Point Regional Hospital.
The elder Gibbs was treated at High Point Regional and released Tuesday.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
