HIGH POINT — Police are looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy at gunpoint Sunday night.
High Point police said the Walgreens pharmacy at 2109 N. Main St. was robbed at 11:14 p.m. Sunday.
A man pointed a small, silver, automatic handgun at pharmacy technicians, then jumped over the counter and took what police described as a substantial amount of medication. Police did not say exactly what was stolen.
As the man left the store, police said the suspect yelled out that he had an accomplice, but witnesses saw no associate. No injuries were reported.
Police described the suspect as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
He wore a red hooded sweat shirt with a school name or team logo on the front and a spider emblem on the back. He also wore a black baseball cap, baggy gray or black jeans, and white tennis shoes.
