Update: Father, son found shot in High Point

HIGH POINT — A father and son were found shot at 400 N. Main St. on Tuesday afternoon.

James Gibbs, 40, was treated for a minor graze to the right side of the head. He was released from High Point Regional Hopsital on Tuesday.

Christopher James Gibbs, 20, suffered three gunshot wounds. He is in good condition Wednesday at High Point Regional after surgery on Tuesday.

High Point police found two shooting victims in a GMC Sierra pickup at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday. Police later determined that the shooting had happened on Fern Avenue. The two men were being driven to the hospital, but stopped on Main Street to call for help.

Police said other people were in the pickup truck but did not identify.

Police did not say if they had suspects or a motive in the shooting. No one has been arrested.
