WINSON-SALEM — A man armed with a handgun robbed a Church's Chicken on Monday night, police said.
At 10:56 p.m., Winston-Salem police officers responded to an armed robbery call at 1301 N. Patterson Ave.
The manager told police an armed man entered the fast-food restaurant and demanded money. He fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money.
Officers and a police dog combed the area but did not find him.
Police described him as 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and wearing a black coat with fur on it.
He also had a red bananda over his mouth and was wearing blue jeans.
Authorities ask those with information to call the Winston-Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 727-2800.
