JAMESTOWN – A fire seriously damaged a Jamestown home on Sunday night.
Firefighters responded to 103 Pearce Drive at 10:51 p.m. to find a two- or three-story home on fire, said Jeff Thomas, deputy chief of the Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire Department.
The blazes were coming from the first and second floors, he said. Crews from four stations battled the blaze for about an hour and a half.
Thomas was unsure of how many occupants lived in the home.
Thomas said the American Red Cross was notified to help the displaced residents.
An early investigation determined that the fire started in the living room and it was started intentionally, Thomas said.
