Thank you, Rep. Miller

Monday, November 16, 2009

I want to thank Rep. Brad Miller for voting yes on the health care bill Nov. 7. I am one of the 46 million uninsured because I am self-employed, and so this was a vote for me.

You have to admire the straight-up self interest articulated so clearly in this letter.

Why are you uninsured because you are self-employed? Being self-employed has nothing to do with being uninsured, I've been self-employed since 1998 and had insurance the entire time. You just didn't factor an important part of being self-employed, that's all. I hope you have the discipline to save for your quarterly IRS payments.

Yea , its all about me!
Screw all those people that's going to pay for this mess!
I am a long time supporter of Miller, I do ever thing in my power to retire him.
Ever notice how all the letters, reflect the liberal papers point of view?
Both of our papers, run about 99% pro health care letters.
Both, never seen a conservative that's worth a damn,. and never seen a liberal that was not wonderful.

Why are you uninsured? Being self employed is NO excuse. I have been self employed for the last 10 years and I have insurance. Why should someone else pay for your insurance? Pay for it yourself!

Well at least he's honest about it. He just wants you to pay for his insurance, plain and simple.

We've done the self-employed route too. Check out some of the insurance companies. They have plans for people in your situation. Basically, it's pretty clear though. You are self-employed and have an income and have an option to purchase health insurance, but you don't want to spend the money. Instead you want other hard-working people who pay for their own insurance to also pay for yours. I get it now! Personally, I think you should be ashamed to have written this letter and signed your name.

At least he's honest about wanting taxpayers to foot the bill since he doesn't want to spend his own money..and yes, there are group plans available for self employed individuals.

If you are self-employed and can't afford health insurance, might I suggest you find a new line of work.

James Wilson is an obvious freeloader. I'm self-employed and I have insurance. It is a decision I have made. He obviously has choosen a different decision.

With a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work Brad Miller will be defeated in his next election, for not representing the majority in his district.
