Reidsville police investigate armed robbery

REIDSVILLE — Police are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store Wednesday night.

At 8:47 p.m., police received a report of an armed robbery at the Kangaroo Mart, 226 W. Harrison St.
 
The clerk reported that a man pulled out a handgun and demanded money, according to a police report. The man forced her behind the counter and removed all the bills from the cash register, she said. He also stole some cigarettes, the clerk told police. The clerk was not injured.
 
The robber got away with just $85, according to the report. He is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 165 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue jumpsuit, a dark ski mask, gloves and boots.
