Winston-Salem man faces charges in rape of girl, 14
WINSTON-SALEM — A man faces charges in the rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Winston-Salem police said the girl's mother left her home at 2:20 a.m. Monday to go to a store. While the woman was gone, police said a man forced the girl from the home and raped her nearby in the 1300 block of Winfield Drive.
The victim ran to a nearby house and call police. Police did not identify the girl but said she is an acquaintance of the attacker.
Police said an officer arrested Jose Santos Fuentes Ramos at 10 a.m. Monday on Pineview Drive. Ramos, 26, has no permanent address.
Ramos was charged with first degree rape, first degree kidnapping, first degree sexual offense and indecent liberties with a child. He remains in the Forsyth County jail on a $5 million bond.
