GREENSBORO — A motorist in a Harris Teeter parking lot fled early Sunday morning after someone entered her vehicle and asked her "if she wanted to die," police said in a news release.

About 1:48 a.m., the victim, whom Greensboro police did not identify, was sitting in her vehicle outside the grocery store at 401 Pisgah Church Road when someone approached her and opened the door.

He then asked her if she wanted to die, prompting her to exit the vehicle and run into the store.

Although the news release called the incident a carjacking, the suspect was not able to steal the vehicle, police said.

Police ask those with information to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
