Stephanie Nicole Ware and John Brandon Whaley were united in marriage on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Ashby Brown and Reverend Mark Christy. Music was provided by Stratford Brass Quintet, Connie Hastings and Jim Shulstad. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Embassy Suites. On Friday evening, the parent's of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at Cafe Pasta.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Clay Ware of Greensboro. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peck of Greensboro, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fox of Greensboro, and the late Mr. Harry Nathaniel Ware. She is a graduate of Page High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Whaley of Beulaville, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. Mervin Whaley, Mrs. Nannie Brown, and the late Mr. Clayton Brown. He is a graduate of East Duplin High School and North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History.
The bride was attended by matron of honor Laura Stauffer. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Assal, Melissa Dunn, Kerry King and Kendra Whaley.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Mersy, Joshua Outlaw, Alex Stauffer and Alex Ware.
Following a honeymoon to Palm Island in the Grenadines, the couple will reside in Cary, North Carolina.
