GREENSBORO -- Freshman quarterback Seth Adams ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as Greensboro College defeated Methodist 42-20 on Saturday night at Jamieson Stadium.

Adams completed 17 of 22 pass for 235 yards for the Pride (5-5, 3-3 USA South). Greensboro matched the school record for wins set in 2000 and 2001 and can break it with a victory Nov. 14 at Shenandoah.

"It was a physical battle, but we had control of the game most of the time," said Dr. Randy Hunt, the Pride's coach. "After halftime, we really executed and played good fundamental football."

Greensboro had 423 yards of total offense to 326 for Methodist (2-7, 1-5).
