STONEVILLE — A 37-year-old man wanted in the Tuesday night robbery of a convenience store was arrested two days later.
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office said Otis Lee Hill Jr., 37, of 109 Taylor St., faces a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon. The charge follows the robbery of the Two Brothers No. 2 convenience store at 6338 N.C. 770 on Tuesday night.
According to the sheriff's office, Walter Greene Barker Jr. was told by a family member that Hill was walking toward his home on Price Grange Road at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Barker got a shotgun and forced Hill to lie down in front of his house as he called 911.
Hill complied and was still lying down when a deputy arrived. The sheriff's office said Hill cooperated with the deputy while being arrested.
