Proposed amphitheater may raise noise issues
Well, well, well. Here we go again with the making of another grand fiasco. I’m referring to the proposed coliseum amphitheater. Why can’t our elected and appointed officials communicate on the same wavelength? Or don’t they care?
You folks at the News & Record failed to consider and report on what effect the noise emanating from this venue will have on the surrounding neighborhoods. May I suggest you research and report on a similar situation that occurred some years ago at the state fairgrounds in East Tampa, Fla.? Noise ordinance lawsuits abounded and may still be going on.
Good luck to the new city manager. It appears he has his work cut out for him. Hopefully, the new mayor and City Council will be cooperative.
