Police: Pizza deliverer shot after refusing robber's demands
GREENSBORO — A pizza delivery driver was shot Wednesday night after he refused a robber's demands, police said.
Mujahid Ahmed told Greenbsoro police he was delivering a pie for Fox's Pizza at 2227 Tillman Ave. about 7:32 p.m. when he was approached by someone.
The suspect tried to rob Ahmed but shot him after he refused to comply, according to police.
Officers searched the area and found a possible suspect, who was taken to the police department's criminal investigation division for questioning.
Police had not provided information including Ahmed's condition and whether an arrest had been made as of early Thursday morning.
Police ask those with information to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
