City should reconsider how it spends money

Some puzzles can’t be solved.

Does Matt Brown have a boss or is the coliseum his own piece of heaven here on earth? The coliseum reminds me of Ross Perot’s sucking sound of money.

The new biking trail with a tunnel under Cone Boulevard makes no sense. Supposedly it is with money already allocated, but with our economy in such a mess, reallocate this money. This absurd money pit might be used by one percent of the population.

College students voting in our local government don’t live here, don’t own property or pay taxes here but can vote. What genius came up with such an insane idea?

How can we continue to spend money we don’t have — from Washington down to our local government? Just pass another idiotic bond issue (delayed taxes).

Things change; they get worse.

Bob, doesn't it tell you a lot about how little concern taxpayers are about the ever increasing taxes in Greensboro? There are many comments to other letters but none to yours. I agree that it is disgusting that we allow people to vote on these bonds that will never help repay them. Matt Brown seems to think he has a never-ending flow of money from the citizens of Greensboro and he keeps getting away with it. I hope that some of the new people elected to the city council know how to say "NO" to all of these pet projects.
