I have been with and without decent benefits, as have my college-educated and working grown children. I have a co-worker who has horrible insurance through work that is expensive, has a high deductible and only pays 60 percent of any real medical care or surgery expense. She makes $8 an hour. How can she survive like that?
We need a public option that people can use to survive and not have to choose to go bankrupt or die.
