City Council should let Matt Brown do his job

Regarding the story,  “Surprise! It’s a city amphitheater” (Oct. 29):

I find it interesting to note that, now that the City Council knows about the coliseum amphitheater project, all work has ground to a halt.

Upon reflection, I think a balance has to be drawn between money spent and jobs created. The council now knows about all it needs to know and should get out of the way and allow coliseum Director Matt Brown to do what he does best, which is putting paying butts in city-owned seats.

The requests of Mr. Brown for more money never ceases. Where does it end?

"I find it interesting to note that, now that the City Council knows about the coliseum amphitheater project, all work has ground to a halt."

Does anyone else see anything wrong with this statement? Like, why didn't the City Council know about the coliseum amphitheater project before they started the work? I would think the City Council needs to know when over $100,000.00 of tax payer money is being spent.

Someone needs to inform Matt Brown when he doesn't run in the red and ask the taxpayers to pickup his loss, that he doesn't get to squander any small profit the coliseum makes. Give it back to taxpayers and try to offset all the years the coliseum operates in the red.
