WINSTON-SALEM (AP) — Wake Forest quarterback Riley Skinner remains questionable for this week's game at No. 10 Georgia Tech with a mild concussion.
Coach Jim Grobe said today that he's optimistic that Skinner will play, but says the decision will be made by the team's medical staff.
Grobe says Skinner hasn't experienced headaches or dizziness. With about 6½ minutes left in the Miami loss last week, Skinner took a hard hit near the sideline that ripped off his helmet and broke his face mask.
He was replaced by Ryan McManus, who will start this week if Skinner can't play. Skinner hasn't missed a start since the third game of his sophomore season in 2007, when the right-handed quarterback had a separated throwing shoulder.
