GREENSBORO — A man found shot in a pickup in the driveway of a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post this morning has died, according to police.

About 6 a.m. Tuesday, Greensboro police said a man was found inside a blue GMC pickup in the driveway of VFW Post 2087 at 2605 S. Elm-Eugene St. The man had been shot at the LandMark Inn at 2838 S. Elm Eugene St. and drove to the post.

Police identified the man as 43-year-old Bryon Robert Renwick of Greensboro.

Renwick was later pronounced dead at Moses Cone Hospital.

Police said Renwick's body will be transported to the state medical examiner's officer Wednesday for an autopsy, which is routine in homicide cases.

Police have not named any suspects.

Police reopened the right lane of northbound South Elm-Eugene at Patton Avenue at about 8 a.m. Tuesday.

This is the second fatal shooting at the LandMark Inn in recent weeks. On Oct. 20, Jermaine Bennett Tinsley, 34, was fatally shot there. Eric Jermaine Hale, 32, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Anyone with information about this fatal shooting can call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000 or the criminal investigation division at 373-2255.
