It was hard for me to understand Anita Dunn’s remarks about Mao Tse-Tung. She is a spokesperson for this administration. The way I took it, she likes his philosophy.
I do not agree with her statement, since Mao killed millions of people and put Christians in jail. I know what happened in China because I was there in the Marines.
I remember when Marines were killed and wounded. Twenty-one planes were shot down. Marines were taken prisoner. Refugees came into Tsingtoa, China, where I was stationed by the thousands seeking protection from that communist regime.
After four years, the Marines departed China under the order of President Truman in 1949. Gen. Chiang Kai-Shek left for Formosa a short-time later.
Marines met the Chinese again in Korea. President Truman called it a “police action.” That “police action” cost 100,000 U.S. casualties. Thirty-three divisions of 300,000 Chinese attacked United Nations troops, trapping the First Marine Division at the Chosen Reservoir.
I think Anita Dunn should apologize to the American people who pay her salary.
