Shannon Elizabeth Hatcher and Ryan Andrew OShea were united in marriage Saturday, August 8, 2009, at St. Thomas Preservation Hall in Wilmington, N.C. The Rev. Allen Proctor officiated. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at St. Thomas Preservation Hall.
On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner aboard the Cape Fear Riverboat, Henrietta III.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Marcia Hatcher of Wallace, N.C. nad Mr. Glen Hatcher of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. She is a graduate of N.C. State University wiht a B.S. in Biology. She is a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing an advanced degree in Public Health.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas OShea of Greensboro. He is a gradute of Greensboro Day School and N.C. State University with a B.A. degree in Business. He is employed by Market Source at Cisco Systems in Cary.
The bride was attended by her sister, Jaimie Jones of London, England as matron of honor. Her maids of honor were Sarah Hatcher and Grace Hatcher, both of Wallace, N.C. and sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Meaghan Clayton, sister of the groom, Lauren Childs, Jennifer Knowles, Ashley Oliver, Nikki Player, Nicole Rouse and Lauren Triebert.
The groom chose his brother, Kevin OShea of Greensboro, and his cousin, Aaron Brown of Raleigh, as best men. Groomsmen were John Chapman, Mackey McDonald, Jr., James Megliola, Hal Jenkins, Graham Staples, Richard Winslow and Eric Trivette.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Costa Rica and are now residing in Chapel Hill.
