Bill Knight is our candidate for mayor of Greensboro. I have known Bill for many years and enthusiastically endorse him.
Bill is a retired Certified Public Accountant. He started his own CPA firm and, later, merged with Sharrard McGee & Co., P.A., where he was a partner in the firm. It will be most advantageous for Greensboro to have on board a person who has spent his professional career interpreting balance sheets and business records to assist companies in becoming profitable.
He has been active in many community organizations and in his church. In fact, for the last several years, since his retirement, he has done missionary rebuilding work in South America and the Katrina disaster area. Bill was raised in Greensboro in the Overseas Replacement Depot area and worked and paid his way through Guilford College before becoming a CPA.
There is nothing in this contest for Bill Knight other than serving his fellow man. Although the mayor’s position has always been considered a part-time job, due to his retirement status, he will spend whatever time is needed to get the job done. I urge you, even those who seldom vote, to vote for a good man.
