Why have you chosen to run for this office? Home town connection and paternal roots; compelled to stay abreast, to stand up and speak out for a better Sedalia.
Key qualifications you would bring to the job: Honesty, integrity, personal commitment and a willingness to be involved at the state, county and town level for the betterment of the town.
Family: married, two grandchildren
What distinguishes you most from your opponents? Educational experience of public speaking for 35 years and Sedalia home town roots. I have been involved with the Sedalia Civic Organization from the very beginning before incorporation. I personally know most of the people in this town, either their parents or their children. I have a Christian soul.
Please list the top three issues in Sedalia and your stances on those issues:
1. Ordinance compliances: Some citizens still have unattractive and junkie yards (too many cars, grass uncut, articles left around their yards that does not enhance the yards appearance, large vehicles no longer of use still left in yards
2. Sewer and water rights: Will come in time.
3. Housing growth: Must be careful of placements.
If you were to give Sedalia a letter grade on its effectiveness in managing growth, what would it be? Sedalia deserves an A.
