Halloween happenings for all ages this weekend

Pull out your witches hat, dust off your broom. Put on your spectacles, and gaze at the moon. Ghost and goblins will all be seen, as we celebrate Halloween!

Safe trick or treating, haunted houses, pumpkin-carving contests, scary trails and more are in abundance.

Also on the agenda this weekend is the annual Annie Penn Hospital Auxiliary Jewelry and Gift Sale today and Friday at the hospital. Select early Christmas gifts and support the auxiliary.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the American Cancer Society ends the month with Rockingham County Pink Day on Friday. Donate $1 to wear pink for the day and show your support.

Register your organization to participate, or call the American Cancer Society for places to make your donation.

The Fall Festival and Pet Show at Freedom Park takes place Saturday. Arts, crafts, games, rides, music and costume contest are planned.

You also have the Saturday Morning Movie Club at the Carousel Luxury Cinemas on 1305 Battleground Ave. 10 a.m. on Satruday, Oct 31, they're playing "Monsters vs. Aliens" in 3-D, and giving kids who show up free candy.
