GREENSBORO — A neighbor stopped a break-in attempt, and police arrested a burglary suspect Sunday morning.

Greensboro police said a man tried to pry open a window at 1808 Belcrest Drive shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday. When that did not work, the suspect broke the window with a brick. A neighbor approached, and the suspect ran away.

Police arrested a suspect about 90 minutes and five blocks from the break-in attempt.

Kevin Ronte Curry, 21, of 1203 Bellevue St., was charged with felony breaking and entering. Curry was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on an unrelated charge. Curry is being held in the Guilford County jail on a bond of $1,100.
